Guitar For Kids 2
This book is the second part of the book series: “Guitar for Kids”
After introducing basic guitar playing fundamentals in the first book, this book will take the student a few steps forward. More complex rhythms are introduced, as well as a variety of scales, and playing on more positions. All bass notes are learned, playing intervals, technique elements for both hands. All this is learned using a repertoire that includes guitar pieces from different periods, songs accompanied by chords, and some duets.
Before most pieces, there is a preparation exercise that helps the student focus better and solve any difficulties before playing the full piece. After working with this book, the student can play polyphonic compositions and chords at a beginner-intermediate level.
Main Topics: The notes on 5-6 strings, accidentals, Syncopations, intervals, dynamics, playing melodies in VII and IX positions, playing legato, Bar chords, and chord charts.
Music in this book includes compositions by Bach, Albeniz, Haydn, Aguado, Sor, Narvaez, Sagreras, Paganini, Carulli, Coste, Sanz, Schumann, Praetorius, Kuffner, and more.
