Developing Classical Guitar Professionals
My name is Nirit ZIv-Wexler, an M.M in Classical Guitar From Yale University, a composer, arranger, artist, and teacher. My main focus as a teacher is furthering the knowledge and skills of students that wish to take their musical understanding and classical guitar skills to the highest level possible, be it as a performer, or a desire for academic accomplishments. During my own development as a classical guitarist, I’ve had the great fortune of studying under tremendously talented teachers and combined with my own passion for music, I was able to participate in master classes, and receive multiple grants and tuition that helped me travel the world and expand my skills. I consider it a great privilege to pass that knowledge on to the next generation.
Reach Your Potential as a Classical Guitarist
One of the most difficult aspects of perfecting the art of performance as a classical guitarist is getting to a point where you feel you stop progressing and reach a dead-end. The good news is that it happens to all of us, and can be overcome by taking advantage of more advanced teaching techniques and the experience of others. It was through my own journey to masterclasses in Spain, Hungary, and my grant that led me into an M.M from Yale where I managed to evolve from an aspiring performer, to a recognized established classical guitarist, composer, author, and arranger.
It is with great passion and a deep understanding of the process that I decided to become a teacher 20 years ago, with the goal to help others along their journey as musicians.
Nirit Ziv-Wexler's Studio
My Studio is in Zichron Yaakov and represents much of how I view music and acts as my inspiration with its stunning view and peaceful environment that encourages creativity.
My Teaching Experience
After receiving my M.M in Classical Guitar from Yale, I’ve opened my own studio in the U.S before moving back to Israel, and taught classes in Ramapo College, from aiding prodigies to introducing the classical guitar to beginners. In Israel, I have Nirit Ziv-Wexler’s Studio in Zichron Yaakov implementing the techniques and teaching philosophies I developed to help students fulfil their potential.
